Partnership with Drift Creek Camp
Since our summer camp schedule is short, we are partnering with Drift Creek Camp to give staff the option of a full summer of employment. Those interested in serving as shared staff for both Drift Creek and Camrec may complete one application. However, each camp will conduct a separate interview and selection process. Shared staff will transition to Camrec at the conclusion of Drift Creek’s camp for Grade 3-4 and they will be shuttled to Camrec during a weekend road trip with stops for sightseeing, rest and relaxation.
While shared staff travel, Camrec will host pre-junior camp with a mix of parents and other short-term volunteers. A staff orientation will take place on Monday July 19 and campers will arrive the following day. At the conclusion of our youth camps on July 31st, we will find rides for shared staff to Seattle and will assist with additional travel arrangements, as needed.
