WHAT: While CAMREC nurtures each of us it also needs our care. Help maintain CAMREC’s facilities and prepare it for the winter ahead! A variety of projects will be available for all ages, abilities, and interests. There will be plenty of time to catch up with friends, connect with new folks, get in a few card games and go on a hike or two! There will also be committee meetings going on throughout the weekend including a board meeting Saturday Evening.

​WHO: All are welcome

​COST: Lodging is FREE and food will be donation based with a suggested amount of $30 per person ($20 per child under the age of 12).

​FOOD: A menu and ingredients will be provided by camp for 4 meals starting with Saturday breakfast and ending with Sunday breakfast. All participants are encouraged to take a turn helping prepare meals, setting up for them, and cleaning up after them. A sign up sheet will be provided on-site. If anyone in your group has any dietary needs, please make note of them on the registration form. 

Examples of Projects to Choose from:

  • Organize skis, snowshoes, outdoor game equipment 
  • Chop firewood with hydraulic wood splitter
  • Organize display material bulletin boards
  • Install rubber baseboard in lodge
  • Prep snow plow & snow blowers
  • Clean & maintain fire places
  • Deep clean all buildings
  • Winterize pumphouse
  • Prep tubing run
  • Wash windows
  • Arrive / get settled in any time after 2:00 pm
  • Explore the grounds, take a walk, connect with other participants
  • Bring your own evening meal or enjoy the provided snacks
  • Relax by the fire, get out your favorite games, get some music going
  • 8:00 — Breakfast
  • 9:00 — Service
  • 12:30 — Lunch
  • 1:30 — Continued service projects /or recreation
  • 5:30 — Dinner
  • 6:30 — Board Meeting or Free Time (e.g. games, conversation)
  • 8:00 — Breakfast
  • 9:30 – Contemplative nature hike or worship service

** You are welcome to stay for the rest of the day, but there are no more planned group meals or activities unless group projects are coordinated by interested volunteers. **
