Fourth of July Family Camp

WHAT: Enjoy our peaceful woods over this fourth of July and/or use CAMREC as your base camp for exploring other exciting recreation options in the Plain and Leavenworth area (e.g. swimming at Lake Wenatchee, tubing or white water rafting, etc.) Whether you come on your own, with children, with friends, or as part of a church group, you can find a sense of community here.

We use the term family to broadly include biological family, chosen family, church family, or simply the sense of belonging that grows when we share our lives with each other. Some activities are geared toward adults, some toward children, and many are designed to be enjoyed together.

WHEN: Drop in any time between July 2nd and July 5th. Stay for as little or as long as it works for you!

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: 

In nature such as hiking, meditating, star gazing, birdwatching, music-making, bonfires

Outdoor games such as pickleball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, soccer, kickball, softball, gaga ball, giant Dutch Blitz 

Indoor games such as craft-making, quilting, card/board games, making music, collaborative cooking & baking

Volunteer on a project such as painting the new staff house, clearing brush for fire prevention, clearing trails, or preparing for our summer youth camping program

FEES: Suggested minimum donation of $20 per day ($15 for lodging and $5 for food).

​​FOOD: Do you have a meal suggestion? Do you like to cook or bake? Let us know! All participants are encouraged to take a turn helping prepare meals, setting up for meals, and cleaning up after meals. A rotation schedule will be devised.
